Congratulations to the recipients of the 2016 Barrie Hardcastle Bursary, formally announced at the BCMA’s Annual General Meeting, October 14, 2016 in Whistler. Lorraine Bell of the Qualicum Beach Museum will use her bursary for participation in Raising Money for your Cultural Organization with UVic’s Cultural Resource Management Program. Eleonora Sermoneta, a volunteer with the Burnaby Art Gallery, will use her bursary to partially offset the costs of tuition and texts for two courses, Museum Principles & Practices and Heritage Resource Management, offered through UVic’s Cultural Resource Management Program.

The Barrie Hardcastle Bursary, established by BCMA and Island Savings Credit Union, supports financial administration and management training for staff and volunteers working in BC museums and cultural institutions.
