Together We Are Stronger: Relocation of CPR Engine Bell
Funding Received: $15,000
The Chase Museum worked together with local First Nations to install a CPR engine bell on a cairn in front of the Museum – the artefact represents the strength to persevere and work together in the face of adversity and will stand as a monument to inclusion and cooperation. Three of the four sides of the cairn hold a plaque designed by each of the local First Nations Bands. Raising the Secwepemc Nations flag with the Canadian and BC flag indicates our Country’s movement towards reconciliation.
Lyle Patterson puts the finishing touches on the cairn.
Dedication of the cairn at the Chase and District Museum, May 5, 2017.
