On January 16, 2017 the Province of British Columbia announced British Columbia | Canada 150: Celebrating B.C. Communities and their Contributions to Canada, a new funding program designed to invest $7.6 million in legacy, culture and heritage projects in communities throughout the province as part of the 150th anniversary of Canada’s confederation. The BC Museums Association is honoured to administer this grant on behalf of the Province of British Columbia, with the support of Heritage BC.

We received an overwhelming response to this exciting grant opportunity:

  • 416 eligible applications from all across the province
  • Total value of requests: $24,335,311

It is clear that there are many exciting initiatives happening throughout British Columbia!
