Dezirae DaCosta, Editor, Museums Roundup

Dezirae got her start working in non-profit cultural institutions as a first-year university student, receiving a Canada Summer Jobs position at the Smithers Art Gallery in 2010. Since then, she has worked and volunteered in a variety of capacities with museums, art galleries, community organisations, and research labs. An avid learner, she graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2015 with a BA in psychology and philosophy while still pursuing her passion for archaeology and anthropology in her own time. Dezirae began working with Roundup Designer Rosemarie Gresham at Mackin House Museum in 2016, where they collaborated on the successful Science and Social Change Exhibit. She currently also works at the Registrar’s Office at Douglas College, and intends to pursue graduate studies.
